Scheduling veterinarians and veterinary staff around the holidays can be a delicate dance. No one wants to be considered a Scrooge, but the holidays are a time when expenses (holiday parties, bonuses) can get out of control. You want to make sure your staff has time off to enjoy the holidays with their families. Still, you also need to make sure you have enough staff to care for your patients, who may be more likely to get sick during this time of year due to changes in their routine, new family members in the house, other pets that come to visit, and lots and lots of treats.
